Robot controlled by a cockroach.

Wow.... impressive the project Cockroach de Conceptlab. Where they do that it is a cockroach the one that controls a robot.

The project is called a Control and communication between animal and machine

They have changed the microchip that should be the brain of the robot, for the answers that a living being offers, in this case a cockroach. It is the animal one the one that acts like CPU of the robot.

The project is not new because it was initialized in 2004 and they go for the third version, in each one improving and modifying aspects of the previous one.

The cockroach, it is a Giant Cockroach of Madagascar, known as marvelous Gromphadorhina. The insect has no wings, moves relatively slowly and grows up to 5 or 8 cm.

How does it work.

The cockroach is on a ball, which, on having turned, controls the movement of the robot.

The robot has a few sensors in the front, which make illuminate the lights that the cockroach has face, so that this one reacts separating from the lights and therefore avoiding the objects that it has ahead.
