Introduction to the electrical model airplane making. Parte1

I am going to begin a series on the electrical model airplane making, always from the spirit of this web. Economic solutions and experimentation, as well as the didactics of why are they done and since the things work. I will describe the elementary equipment, the different parts and like making use of diverse daily materials in the model aeroplanes manufacture.

The current state of the matter:

We live through moments of glory for the model airplane making. We have to the strong euro with regard to the dollar, and to the Chinese selling in dollars with the yuan for the soils with regard to the dollar.

This that is much the worst villain for the national industry (sif …), has provoked that the basic kit for the model airplane making as radio control has a very reasonable cost. Also, the development of the batteries, and of the electronics as a whole, has shot the services of the teams.

For ages, which wanted to begin in the topic, had to arrange of a budget environment to 300 euros, (or 50000 pesetas).

In the previous photo I show a set of accessories with an approximate price for 50-60 euros, which already allows to begin to do experiments.

The necessary minimal elements and his cost.

We go on parts. It even does not many years, a basic plane of called trainer, with engine of explosion and a radio of 4 channels, he supposed (apart from 300 minimal euros previously commented), a big grief in case of estrellamiento or accident. The things have changed.

The broadcasting stations of Chinese manufacture of 6 channels (that is to say 6 movements) can buy to themselves from 30 euros more postage and packing. The cheapest servos, from 1.50 euros. Additional recipients to 12 euros, electrical engines to from 5 euros, etc.

Namely that we can do experiments, and if we fail, we will not enter depression. Also, we have the pretenders, which achieve that we come to the flight field being a few experts.

The broadcasting station.
Or the Chinese are victims of their own medicine and the factories are copied some to others to the millimeter, or have specialized so much, that a factory devotes itself to that alone, to make and the others only take the broadcasting station and put the sticker … …

The broadcasting station of the initial photo, it is a mark "turborix", but if you look a little, you will see that it is the same that "bluesky", "turnigy", etc. (I suppose that the services will be similar).

He has 6 channels, cable to programme it with PC and to train with pretenders, and works in 2.4 GHz.

The above mentioned, that thing about the frequency is important. The model airplane making broadcasting stations were usually going in such frequencies like 27 Mhz or 40 Mhz.

They were using a concrete band (like a channel) and if there were two broadcasting stations in the same one, the device was smashing.

2.4 Ghz usually uses codification and simultaneous channels, therefore it is practically impossible that interferences affect us.

Some broadcasting station models come with memory for the adjustments of every model aeroplane, but others, for the adjustments it is necessary to use a PC. (some of them obtain to use a PDA, I am in it).

The inseparable element of the broadcasting station is the recipient that is mounted in the model aeroplane. This is also important, so if they are economic, we can have one in every device and do stunts with less remorses.
With regard to the channels (CH of channel), for a basic glider two are enough to us, for a finished plane with 4, but as it costs little more, we go straight to one of 6 CH, if we want to try with helicopters some day or throw missiles or rise and lower the wheels ….

Also, the model of the photo incorporates a capture to load the batteries that I have not used yet for this end, but that the broadcasting station fed from the plug allows to have, across a feeder of 12 V. while prácticamos with the pretender, with what we will save very much in batteries.
